For my card, I chose to use Waffle Flowers stitched cacti. I've had this for a little while but this is the first time I used it.
This was a quick one layer card! I stamped the layers of the cacti with a couple of colors of green and then used the individual stitch stamps to add the pink touches. Then I stamped the 'hugs!' below it.
Supplies:
Stamp: Waffle Flower - Stitched Cacti
Inks: Lawnfawn - Guava, Celery stick, freshly cut grass; Mama Elephant - Hazel

Such a fun stampset, I love the green and pink combo, so cute
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Maaike!
DeleteThe stitching looks so realistic I actually thought you’d been busy cross stitching until I read your post. Fabulous, fun and inspiring!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jane! I used to cross stitch all the time. Now I have several stamps that mimic it and I am having so much fun with them. :)
DeleteYour little cacti is adorable, and at first glance I too thought is was stitched!
ReplyDeleteAww... Thanks, Nancy!
DeleteHi Cheryl! If a cactus looked as cute as the one on your card, i am all in for Hugs! The cross stitching detail on the stamped image looks fabulous. Btw, i always felt that cactus really showcase how nature works its magic. As a child i was amazed to learn about their adaptations and as an adult i can't stop admiring their simplicity. Lovely take on the theme. Happy crafting. Hugs -Bharati
