Morning all! Today starts a new challenge over at Sparkles Christmas Challenges and I got to pick the theme for this challenge which is 'Outdoor fun'. For me, at Christmas, outdoors is cold and snowy so I picked a card with kids (and a pup) sledding :)
I started this card by stamping my sledding image on Neenah solar white cardstock and coloring them with copic markers. I took some blue cardstock and cut out a rectangle in the middle to frame my image. Then used a snowflake embossing folder to give it a little bit of texture. I adhered my blue frame to the top of the sledding image and stamped the sentiment underneath the kids. I used a fine black pen to add in the snow horizon. I seem to need to add sparkle to every card I make lately so for this one, I added stickles to the cuffs and poms on the kids hats and then to the centers of some of the embossed snowflakes.
What are the outdoors like for you around Christmas? Do you build snowmen or go to the beach? I'd love for you join us so we can see what you come up with for this challenge.
