Hi all! A while ago I got the Concord and 9th Everyday Tintables which are cardstock panels that already have embossed patterns on them and are just waiting for color. I needed several cards recently and these came in super handy. Here is the first one.
For my card, I took one of the Everyday Tintable cards and blended Distress Oxide over the whole panel. I die cut the 'hello' sentiment 3 times out of white cardstock and glued them together to give depth. I also die cut the shadow in vellum. The little sentiment was embossed with white EP and then trimmed down. To assemble, I trimmed the blended panel down to 4.5''x5'' and adhered it to a top folding A2 card. The I clued the hello to the vellum shadow. I added liquid glue to the back of the vellum where it would be hidden by the white sentiment. I put it on the front of the card with the black banner beneath it.
Supplies:
Stamps: MFT - Essential Sentiments
Dies: Honey Bee - hello
Inks: Distress Oxide - Cracked Pistachio
Misc: Concord & 9th - Everyday Tintables
The reason I needed several cards is I am part of a really great group called
Zippy Zebra and Friends.
This group, run by a wonderful women named Cindy, send cards to hundred
of kids that have some kind of hardship in their lives (cancer, autism,
etc.). Each sender is has a handful of kids that they send cards to
each month. Their parents take pictures of them with their cards and add
them to a private FB group so you can see how much these little
gestures mean to them. It is great to be able to follow along with these
kids and see them grow.
I am sharing this card in
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge - Anything Goes.
Also, if you are interested in being a sender for
Zippy Zebra, check out their public facebook page and send Cindy a message.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
