Smart cookies

My project today isn't a card, it is some lunchbox notes for my kiddos. I have three kids in elementary school and they went back face to face this week. So to surprise them and make them smile, I made these little notes that they will see when they get their snacks.

These were super easy to make using my Misti. I die cut the white squares out first and then stamped the cookie and sentiment at the same time. I had to go back with the glasses after. I colored them with copics and used a gel pen to make the frames of the glasses stand out. I used my paper trimmer to cut out slightly larger squares to frame out the cookie notes and used some bling around the sentiments.

Birthday chicks

I have a birthday card today with some cute chicks on it.

I started by masking off the top third of the card and blending color on the bottom. Then I stamped the sentiment and chicks on top of the blending. The chicks were colored with copics and I added some stickles to the top of the microphone for bling.

Kids Art

Hi again,

I haven't posted in almost a year and now two posts in two days, lol. I wanted to share a pair of cards that were made almost by accident.

Like many parents, my kids have been stuck around the house since last March. Last week, I stamped and embossed a couple of panels with trees and gave my 6 year old girls distress inks and blenders and let them at it. It kept them busy for about a half hour and when they were done, they had some really pretty backgrounds. I am completely biased but I think they did an amazing job!

They told me I could make cards out of them, so I die cut a 'celebrate' sentiment with some smaller sentiment strips and sequins and voila! Some of the easiest cards I've ever put together.

Here are some close up pictures of the finished cards.

Thanks to my kiddos :)

And thank you for visiting today!

Birthday Bear hugs

My card today is for a little girl who is in love with getting mail. Her birthday is coming up next month and her mom and dad asked friends to send her some happy mail. Sounded like such a perfect idea, I couldn't resist. Here is the card I came up with.

I did some stamping and masking with the bear in the box and the balloons. Then I stamped the party hat at the bottom. I colored all of the little images with copics before mounting it on the patterned paper. The sentiment is white heat embossed on a black strip and then I cut the little tails on each end. For the sequins, I picked out several in similar colors and scattered them around the card base.
