Hi everybody!
Its been a little while since I've posted and I am so happy to be back for a blog hop for a collaboration with Stampendous for Doodles Paper Playground! I have two winter projects
for you today: a card and a snowflake ornament.
The first project is a card featuring an adorable little snowman. We just
had our first snowstorm which left about 9 inches of snow the day after I
finished this card (coincidence?) so this little guy definitely knows his
stuff, lol. I colored the snowman with copics inspired by Vixen Sparkle Blend and
then used sequins from the blend as snowflakes around him. I mounted the white panel on an A2 top folding turquoise card.
The second project I have is a super shiny snowflake ornament. The snowflake
is from Stampendous’ Windowrama Snowflake Chipboard kit. I wanted to turn this
into a white sparkly snowflake so I started by using a white pigment ink all
over. This gave a pretty white color but not sparkly so after it was dry I added
white mica fintec watercolor on top. Then I outlined the edges with a pale blue
felt tip pen and finished it off with beautiful sparkles from the Pawsome Pets Sparkle
Blend and a blue/white string.
There is a great sale at White Rose Crafts, 30% Off Sparkle Blends during
the Collab Hop (Fri-Sun) with Code SPLURGE30 plus a free gift with every order.

AAA #136 - One Image
Hello! There is a new challenge at AAA Cards.

My card uses the image of a little girl from MFT.
I stamped and colored the little girl with copics. For the background matting, I colored the edges with a pink copic and used a white gel pen to add a pattern.
This challenge is being sponsored by Craftyscrappers. Hope you can play along :) Thanks for stopping by.

AAA Cards #134 - One corner + Music
Hi everyone. It is a new challenge at AAA Cards and this challenge is sponsored by Uniko.

For my card, I used cute little chicks playing instruments.
To start my card, I stamped and colored the chicks with copics. Then I used the matching dies to cut them out. After stamping the sentiment in the corner, I place the chicks around them using some foam tape to prop up the one in the middle. I stamped little music notes in light gray around the chicks.
Hope you can join us for this challenge :)

AAA #133 One Layer + Love
Hello! Today is the beginning of another challenge at AAA Cards. This is a one layer card challenge with an option of using the theme of love.

Here is my take for the challenge.
My husband and I don't really celebrate Valentine's day but I still like to make a card for him and for my kids. For this one, I stamped the fishies on a top folding A2 card and colored it in with colored pencils. Then I stamped the sentiment above in a gray ink. Do you like doing one layer cards? I find when all I want to do is color, they work really well :)
Supplies:
Stamps: Whipper Snapper - Tropical love; Hero Arts - Celebrate Everyday
Inks: Lawn Fawn - Manatee; Prismacolor pencils
The challenge this week is sponsored by STAMPlorations. Hope to see what you create!

AAA Cards #132 - Up to One Third
Hello! It is time for a new challenge at AAA Cards - Use up to One Third of the card. This challenge is one of my favorites because it makes it really easy to keep to a CAS design.

For my card, I used both the challenge and the optional twist of masking.
I love to read so when I saw this stamp set I knew I wanted it. To start my card, I stamped the bunny in the top corner and the pile of books in the lower corner and colored them in with copics. Then I stamped the sentiment in the middle. In retrospect, I should have waited to stamp the sentiment until after I added my diagonal strip to make sure it was centered. To mask my stamped areas, I fussy cut post it notes to cover my images.
I measured out the sides of my panel into thirds and used masking tape to cover the outer corners so I could blend distress inks over the inside. Once I finished that, I realized my sentiment was a little off center. There is a really cute little heart stamp in the set so I added a few around the words to fill in some of the empty space. I trimmed down the sides slightly and added it to brown cardstock and then added the whole to a A2 card.
Our sponsor for this challenge is CAS-ual Fridays and they are offering a $25 gift certificate to the winner. I hope you can join us :)
I would like to share this card in:

Here is my card using the below sketch and pastel colors.

This is a great CAS sketch! I started by taking a top folding A2 white card and using my misti I stamped the paint swipe in the three colors. On the middle stripe I switched the direction of the paint swipe. Then I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment in the middle.
Supplies:
Stamps: Clearly Besotted - Sweet Sentiments Plus; Simon Says Stamp - Brush Stroke Message
Inks: Hero Arts - Soft Canteloupe; Lawn Fawn - Celery Stick, Mermaid
I hope you get inspired by the design team's cards and join us for this challenge. Thanks for stopping by!
