AAA Cards #117 - Geometric

Hi everyone. It is time for a new AAA Cards challenge and it is Elaine's choice: geometrics. :)

I love the triangles in this graphic and it reminded me of a stencil that I've had for awhile but don't use very often. Seemed like a good reason to get it out for this challenge.

I started my card by stamping the sentiment in the middle of a panel of white cardstock. Then I taped the stencil down over it and randomly selected a few triangles to add a pretty aqua color down. Once I was happy with those, I removed the stencil and retaped it down slightly off center. I used a light purple to overlap the teal triangles to get a third shade too. I trimmed the sides down on my panel and adhered it to a top folding A2 white card. To add a little bit more interest, I added a few sequins around the sentiment.

Supplies:
Stamps: Concord and 9th - Everyday greetings
Inks: Lawnfawn - fresh lavendar, merman; MFT - Black licorice
Stencils: Heidi Swapp - triangles 2
Embellishments: Doodlebug sequins

Our sponsor this week is Uniko and they are giving away an in stock stamp set. For more inspiration, check out the beautiful cards by the design team and our guest designer, Carol Gunn. Thanks so much for stopping by!

  2. Beautiful stencilling, love the shadow effect. And a superb demonstration of how to use just a fraction of a busy stencil to keep your card CAS.
