Sparkles - Twinkle, twinkle, star

Hello! Can you believe that it is already March? The first two months of 2018 flew by. It is also time to think about getting Christmas cards made for a challenge at Sparkles Christmas challenges. :) The theme this month is Twinkle, twinkle, stars.

I won this star circle die a couple of months ago and love how beautiful it is. For this card, I used a die inlay technique. I cut the circle die out of navy and gold foil cardstock. Then I adhered the outer navy cardstock to a top folding A2 card. I added the gold foiled star circle to the middle and then the navy negative die cut in the center. I used gold embossing on the sentiment under the circle. I was lucky that the embossing powder and foil matched pretty well :)

I added a few gold sequins around the sentiment and in between the stars. Lastly, I cropped the two top corners.

Take a few minutes to check out the rest of the Sparkles Design Team's inspiration. They are a very talented group of ladies :)

Stamps: Lawn Fawn - Merry Messages
Sequins: Pretty Pink Posh - Metallic gold 4mm
Embossing Powder: Recollections - gold

  1. Wow Cheryl, what a stunning card! I love the way you've die cut in two colours and then used the pieces to create the inlaid image. The deep blue combined with the lovely gold foil gives this card a true elegance. Well done! Thanks so much for joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.
