How long does it take you to make a card? This one may be the longest one I've ever worked on. I started it last Thanksgiving :)

A little explanation... last Thanksgiving, my family and I went down to visit my sister who lives in another state. I packed some coloring goodies with me and colored up this background while I was down there. As I was working on it though, I realized it was very springtime-ish and I was in the middle of making Christmas cards so I put it with a small stack of other works-in-progress and there it sat. Now with Easter right around the corner, I remembered I had this pretty background.

To make my card, I trimmed down the colored panel and mounted it on a top folding A2 card with foam tape. Then I heat embossed the large sentiment with silver powder on a scrap piece of cardstock (to match the embossing on the background) and used the same colors from the background to color it in. Then I took a thin strip of black cardstock and heat embossed the smaller sentiment in white powder. I adhered the larger sentiment to the front and cut a very thin strip of foam tape for the black cardstock.

I really like this sentiment. I may have to make a few more cards with it as I am thinking of several people that I would like to send it to.
