Oceans of joy

Hello friends. I am back today with a card using lots of inks and sparklies.

This is also my third project as a Guest Designer for Doodles Paper Playground. My first two cards using Sparkle Blends were shaker cards. For this one, I used the Ocean View blend and took inspiration from the tiny little dolphin sequins that are included in it to use the blend to help build an underwater scene. To start, I played with a few colors of blue and silver alcohol inks to create a background. The silver additive I used gives a subtle shimmer in real life but it is really hard to capture in pictures. Then I stamped and fussy cut the seahorse, starfish and shell. (Side note: my daughters fell in love with that seahorse and made me make them multiples in different colors. They played with them like dolls for a few hours. Love being able to create for them!)

The sentiment was embossed on to a strip of vellum. I trimmed down the background panel and wrapped the vellum around the side. Then I adhered the stamped images around it. I used several sequins to mask where I glued the vellum down. There are super tiny embellishments in the blend and I used a few in navy and teal as bubbles coming from the seahorse. The little dolphins became background sealife and there is a teal sparkle on the starfish. To attach my panel to a top folding A2 Navy card, I added tape runner to the navy cardstock leaving it clear on the very top and right. Then I added the panel starting at the bottom edge to make it offset.
