An inspiration

Hello again. One good thing about January in Michigan is it is so cold outside you have a reason to stay inside and craft. I also seemed to have a good amount of never been used stamps that I have collected in the last several months. I decided to use one of these for my card today.

The image of the flowers is so pretty that I didn't have to do much else for this card. This stamp set has fill-in, layering stamps so I started by stamping the outline of the flowers on white cardstock. The colors were inspired by my niece's ballet recital. She was a blue butterfly and her dancing and outfit was super pretty. I stamped the inside of the flowers and leaves with distress inks and then used a water brush to blend them.
I used a white gel pen on the centers of the open flowers and stamped the sentiment to the side. It was very pretty at this point but I still wanted to do more crafting, so I used a clear sparkle pen on the flowers, added a few sequins and then used my distress ink to splatter some light blue drops around the image.

Stamps: Altenew - Extra Special
Inks: Distress Inks - Broken China, Tumbled Glass,
Peeled, Paint, Mowed Lawn

I got a picture of my niece in her dance outfit from my sister. I am constantly impressed by how pretty her dancing is and how her love of dancing gives her focus.

I am sharing this card in:
CASology #281 - Encourage

Altenew (I was inspired by the flowers and splatter)
