Our tree

Hello! It started to cool off here last week which made me think of fall and the upcoming holidays. Then the weather decided it wasn't done with summer and it will be near 80 today! I was all set to make a Christmas card with lots of snow but I think the warm weather played into my crafting today. The only snow is a couple of snowflakes that I put in after I was done :)

I am playing along with the Daily Marker's 30 Day color challenge and it has been a lot of fun. This was my coloring project today. I stamped the animals and tree first and colored them with copics. Then I cut the same images out of masking paper to cover them so that I could use distress inks to blend the background. That was when I realized it looked a little summery and I drew in some snowflakes with a white gel pen. I also added the white along the edges of the tree along with some glittery stickles. The last step was stamping the sentiment at the bottom.

Supplies:
Stamps: Ess by Ellen - Tree Farm, Lawnfawn - Merry messages
Inks - Copics; Distress inks - broken china, peeled paint, tumbled glass, salty ocean
Misc: white gel pen; stickles - diamond

I am  sharing this card in a couple of challenges:

Thanks for stopping by!
