This card was inspired by the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches. They are celebrating their 300th sketch challenge, too! So to start, I trimmed down some navy polka dot patterned paper and then took some green cardstock and stamped a background stamp in blue on it to create my own patterned paper. I had a several die cuts of the 'you' in my stash so I pulled those out. There were two white and one black. I knew that I wanted to stay with the blue and green theme so I colored one of the white die cuts blue but when I added that to the oval, it looked a little too flat. So I took the other two and layered them under the blue one keeping them a little askew so that it looks like a bit of a shadow. The rest of the sentiment was stamped on scraps from the background paper. A few navy nuvo drops finished it.
Supplies:
Stamps: SSS - You Matter, You Matter background
Dies: SSS - You, Stitched Ovals
Inks: Distress Ink - Blueprint sketch
Misc: Nuvo drops - Midnight blue; MFT - Sweet sunshine paper
I am sharing this in the following challenges:
