Peace, love and joy

There is something kinda nice about making a Christmas card when it is a sunny July day. This particular card had a mind of its own. I started out by making lots of die cut snowflakes and die cut the word Peace thinking that they were going to be the main focal point but I couldn't get the card to come together. So I looked through my stamps again and found this cute little town stamp.

Once I had stamped the town scene, I started coloring and lost track of time ;) The blue "peace" die cut I colored with my copics to match the sky around the buildings. I also used a white signo pen to add highlights and hints of snow to the trees and rooflines.

I also took inspiration from PurplePrincessDiaries and decorated an envelope to go with my card.

Supplies:
Stamps: Penny Black - Gleeful; Hero Arts - peace stamp and cut
Dies: Hero Arts - peace stamp and cut: Concord & 9th - Take a bough

I am sharing this in the following challenges:
Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge #342 - optional twist: die cuts

  2. How beautiful! I know what it's like when a card just won't do what it is supposed to! But I think your finished result is fabulous! And the matching envelope is also beautiful! Thanks for playing with CHNCC2.
