I just got some real watercolor paints to try out and my first attempt at anything was just making a blue background. I am very adventurous (not!). So, I wet my paintbrush and brushed it over watercolor cardstock, then used some blue water color to dab in and spread around. It came out to a soft blue that is very pretty. Once that dried, I stamped the tree in blue ink and then used several colors of blue Nuvo and clear Stickles to add some dots on the stamped ornaments. After that finished drying (a bit of waiting around for this card), I stamped the sentiment under the tree, trimmed the top and bottom of the panel and layered it on blue cardstock. The whole panel was added to a top folding card.
Stamps: Penny Black - Swirling; Hero Arts - color layer christmas tree
Inks - Mission Gold - Cobalt Blue 1; Ranger Ink - Blue Ribbon; MFT - Black Licorice
Embellishments: Nuvo - midnight blue, navy blue, wedgewood blue, morning dew; Stickles - stardust
