Smile bright

I was inspired by Addicted to CAS's challenge word 'Smile'.

I knew I wanted to do something bright and cheery so I started with a couple of yellow distress inks. I used Squeezed Lemonade and Mustard Seed to smoosh ink on my kraft mat and then sprayed the mat with water. I was attempting to do a water color wash by using a paint brush to put water down on some watercolor cardstock and then add the ink to it. The color was a little brighter than I was expecting but it was definitely cheery. I stamped the sentiment and smiley face with versafine black ink and then clear embossed.

Since I hadn't planned ahead how I wanted my card to look, I ended up cutting out the whole thing with a scallop die. I adhere the scallop to the gray cardstock with some foam tape. I then added some Nuvo drops as accents. I cut the panel down on the sides slightly and adhered it to a top folding white card.

I am sharing this in Addicted to CAS - Smile challenge.
